The Broads Green Boat Show
Information for ExhibitorsSunday 26 September 2010, 10am to 4pm Salhouse Broad, NorfolkThis is the original Green Boat Show in the UK and is being organised in the Norfolk Broads to encourage ‘low carbon’ propulsion for boats – rowing, paddling, pedalling, sailing, electric and biofuel-powered – as well as to promote other aspects of environmentally-friendly design and construction for boats. It will be a show-place for green energy – fuel cells, solar panels, wind turbines – and for all types of ‘low impact’ materials and products that encourage responsible use of our waterways. DisplaysStatic displays can be housed in the marquee or by the water. There is ample outside space for larger exhibits. Exhibitors can demonstrate boats and allow the public to try them out on the water. VenueSalhouse Broad has good quay-heading, moorings and a shelving beach for the launch of small boats such as kayaks, rowing boats and canoes. The Broad is privately owned and the owners are working with the organisers to provide all the necessary facilities for the show.AccessThe Broad is situated in the countryside outside Salhouse village. Car parking for visitors is in a field about 700 yards from the site with a footpath to the entrance gate. There is an alternative car park for disabled visitors with a 3/4 mile gravel path to the waterside. Exhibitors' access is via farm tracks to vehicle parking in the field adjacent to the site, with direct access through the main gate to the site and the marquee.How to bookExhibitors can reserve space in the marquee or by the water. The charge for commercial exhibitors is £50, payable on acceptance of booking (NB: please make cheques payable to 'Salhouse Broad'). There is no charge for voluntary organisations and charities.
